About The Department
The Global Transitions Team co-ordinate across abrdn key transitions events & operational readiness associated with new business (product launches and segregated client take on), offboarding (fund closures & segregated client offboarding), and lifecycle events including inspecie transfers, shareclass launches, fund mergers, and mandate changes. We also offer transition event expertise to strategic Life Company client instructions. In doing this the Global Transitions team contribute to operational excellence within abrdn and help to secure a first class client experience.
The product pipeline in abrdn is driven by innovation and is becoming increasingly complex as clients look for global solutions for their investment objectives. Our Global Transitions Team are key in ensuring that the on boarding of new clients, alliances and relationships runs successfully.
About The Role
We are looking to appoint a hardworking individual to join our Global Transitions Team who will:
- Gather requirements for all your transition events to ensure that stakeholder expectations and risk is effectively managed.
- Manage the associated standard workflow of each transition event, ensuring positive assurance of task completion is captured.
- Ensure successful delivery of various transition events including standard fund launches & closures, mandate changes and asset transfers.
- Provide assurance to senior management that all transitions are implemented successfully pre and post implementation.
- Manage and oversee the updating of key internal systems.
- Co-ordinate the setup of Custody Accounts.
- Make sure team procedures are kept up to date.
- Communicate progress of your transition event to local management.
Skills & Experience
- Would suit candidates who are looking to develop a broad knowledge of how an Asset Manager works end to end (e2e).
- Candidates who have recently completed graduate programmes in Change / Project Management in Asset Managers / TPA’s may find this role useful to broaden their e2e Asset Management knowledge.
- Working knowledge of the types of products & clients managed by an Asset Manager.
