DevOps Engineer
DevOps Engineer Position Description Our CGI SDI team based in Gloucester has a strong Agile /DevOps software engineering ethos. To maintain our growth, we are looking to recruit DevOps engineers with varied skill-sets and experience to work on leading edge, secure cloud solutions for our clients. Your future duties and responsibilities Working from our Gloucester office or on customer site, we help our clients with some of their most complex IT challenges. Our developers have the opportunity to construct some of the most unique and exciting software solutions within the industry. You can expect be involved in all stages of the project and system life-cycles. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Design, implement and maintain operations of secure cloud environments (development through to production ) using either AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Automation skills (e.g. Infrastructure as Code) in order to provision and manage environments using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM
- Linux and Windows OS experience, including scripting (e.g. Powershell and Bash).
- Strong knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiar with Agile approach and software engineering practices including Continuous Integration and Delivery
- Experience in setting up and configuring CI / CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube)
- Experience in log collection technologies and monitoring platforms (e.g. ELK Stack or Splunk)
- Looks to build quality into the solution at every step with a focus for continually improving
- Working as part of an agile delivery team to realise business value for our customers
