Neurodiversity Champions Training
Workshop Overview
Build a champion network that drives inclusion from the inside.
Full-day – Virtual or in person – Up to 20 participants
Neurodiversity Champions Training is a full-day interactive workshop designed for employees who want to take an active role in driving neuroinclusion across their organisation. It gives champions the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to be visible, credible advocates for neurodivergent colleagues, navigate real workplace conversations with clarity and influence culture in a way that is sustainable, boundaried and genuinely impactful.
- What This Delivers
- Why It Matters
- How It Works
- Who's It For
- What This Leads Into
Being a Neurodiversity Champion isn't about having all the answers. It's about having enough knowledge, enough confidence and enough clarity on your role to make a real difference - without burning out or overstepping.
This full-day session gives champions exactly that. The depth, the practice and the honest conversation that a shorter session simply can't deliver.
- A deeper understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive practice that goes well beyond introductory awareness
- Genuine clarity on what the Champion role involves and - just as importantly - what it doesn't
- The confidence to respond to common questions, misconceptions and workplace situations without feeling out of their depth
- A practical understanding of how reasonable adjustments work and how to support colleagues through the process without taking on the responsibility themselves
- The ability to signpost support effectively - connecting colleagues to the right people and processes without overstepping
- Practical tools to influence team culture positively without feeling overwhelmed by the scale of what inclusion requires
- Stronger listening skills and inclusive communication so champions can hold space for colleagues with confidence and care
- A clear sense of their role, their boundaries and how to make their championing sustainable long term
Neurodiversity Champions can be one of the most powerful forces for inclusion in an organisation. They're trusted by colleagues, embedded in teams and often the first person a neurodivergent employee turns to when something isn't right.
But without the right preparation, that position becomes difficult fast. Champions take on more than they should. They struggle to answer questions they haven't been equipped to answer. They feel the weight of colleagues' experiences without the tools to manage it. And over time, even the most committed champions burn out or step back because nobody gave them a clear enough picture of what the role actually required.
A half-hour webinar and a welcome email isn't preparation. This session is.
Champions spend a full day building the knowledge, practising the conversations and developing the role clarity that makes the difference between a Champion network that genuinely shifts culture and one that exists on paper but delivers very little.
Full day | Up to 20 participants | Virtual or in person | Interactive, discussion-led and scenario-based | Suitable for new and existing Champions
This session is for anyone taking on or currently holding a Neurodiversity Champion role who wants to feel genuinely equipped rather than just nominated.
It works particularly well for organisations launching or refreshing a Champion network, companies where Champions have been in role for a while but haven't had structured training or support, and HR and inclusion teams who want their Champion network to be a credible, consistent and sustainable resource for the organisation.
It works best when delivered to the full Champion cohort together - building shared understanding, shared language and a shared commitment to how the network operates going forward.
A well-supported Champion network doesn't just help individual neurodivergent employees. It shifts the culture around them - making neuroinclusion something the whole organisation feels rather than something HR manages from a distance.
Interested in how this session could work alongside your wider neuroinclusion strategy? We'd love to talk.
