Type: Full-time. 45 hours per week.
- Monday – Friday (Saturdays maybe required to meet needs of the business)

The role:
- Supervise and maintain full compliance in all aspects of Health & Safety for individuals, equipment and site in accordance with all internal and external regulations and standards.
- Supervise and maintain full compliance in accordance with EU Drivers Hour’s Regulations and Working Time Regulations
- Monitor and assist all employees to ensure they have the ability to complete their daily tasks in accordance with any Compliance and Health and Safety regulations without taking, or causing any additional risks;
- Maintain accurate records for internal purposes and FORS to ensure each location meets all required standards in preparation for both external and internal audits
- Work closely with HR to induct and train all new employees during the onboarding process with regards to Health & Safety and Safe Working Practices to ensure each employee has the skills and knowledge to work safely both within their role and environment
- Promote health & safety activities and initiatives to encourage and embed the importance of health and safety within the workplace
- Support operational staff with keeping up to date with all legislation that could affect the business and O License to ensure both the Company and the Group remain compliant
- Collate required information into Group reports in order for the Compliance Department to maintain accurate statistical data
- Report and review accidents and update the HSE portal as and when required to maintain visibility of all incidents
- Deliver Health and Safety training, including CPD to ensure all employees are compliant
- Monitor all information to ensure it is up to date and held in a secure location in order to comply with GDPR legislation
- Report and support operational staff to ensure all Tachograph infringements are reported and signed off and support if action is to be taken
- Monitor and report information in relation to Daily Vehicle ‘Walk round Checks’ training Drivers as required
- Fully utilise the telematics systems to monitor driver behaviours and safe driving, including monitoring infringements and completing driver De-Briefs
- IOSH
- FORS practioner (advantageous)
- Certificate of Professional Competence (International CPC) (advantageous)
- An in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Transport, warehousing and plant legislation
- FORS
- Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, Road Transport Regulations
- Extensive operational experience of logistics services
- Preparation of all business documentation and training for audits including FORS
- Completing risk assessments and implementing policies and procedures
