The role:
Providing effective equipment and vehicle support to sustain a level of equipment and vehicle availability sufficient to meet our training programme with the London Fire Brigade.
- Administrative duties.
- Manage tasks while liaising with the logistic manager.
- Assist with the management of resources to ensure compliance with legislation and ensure an adequate stock level.
- Comply with the London Fire Brigade system for the reporting and processing of equipment defects and breakdowns.
- Carry out any other tasks as reasonably directed by the Logistics Manager.
- Provide cover for the delivery drivers.
Essential experience:
- The ability to work as a member of a team within the logistics department.
- The ability to work without supervision.
- Good awareness of current Health and Safety regulations within a workshop environment.
- A professional image – be trustworthy, punctual and polite and demonstrate a good work ethic.
Desirable experience:
- Good knowledge of Fire service vehicle and equipment types.
Qualifications:
- Hold a category C driving licence. (desirable)
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) security clearance for this role.
