Pay: £30 per hour (tiered rate)
Contract type: Freelance/session-based
Use your story to create change.
We're looking for neurodivergent adults who want to use their lived experience to educate, inspire, and help build more inclusive workplaces. As a Lived Expert, you'll play a key role in our neurodiversity training sessions by sharing your personal story and offering insights that help employers better understand and support neurodivergent people at work.
No formal speaking experience is required – just your voice, your experiences, and your willingness to share them with others.
About Enna
We’re a social enterprise that supports neurodivergent individuals in their careers and helps employers create truly inclusive environments. Our services include workplace training, coaching, assessments, and a specialist jobs board. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to ensuring neurodivergent voices are heard – and that’s where you come in.
What you’ll do
-
Join our training team for live or virtual workshops spanning between 60 minutes and 3 hours - please note sessions are between 9-6pm on weekdays so there is no evening or weekend work available
-
Share your lived experiences of being neurodivergent in areas like education, work, diagnosis, challenges, strengths, and reasonable adjustments
-
Participate in informal Q&As with attendees
-
Help humanise the training content by adding real world perspective
-
Contribute to a culture shift by helping others learn from your story
Each session is different – you might speak for 10 minutes in one or co-facilitate a whole session in another. You’ll always be briefed, supported, and given the choice to take part in sessions that feel right for you.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need any qualifications or formal training background. We’re looking for people who:
-
Identify as neurodivergent (e.g. autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, Tourette’s, etc.)
-
Are aged 18 or over
-
Are willing to talk openly about aspects of their experience
-
Feel comfortable speaking in front of small groups (online or in person) – or are willing to build confidence with our support
-
Are passionate about changing how society views and treats neurodivergent people
You might be in work, between jobs, or exploring your next steps – we welcome people from all walks of life.
What we offer
-
Paid, flexible sessional work – rates of £30 per hour and the flexibility to work when you'd like to - session dates are provided at least 6 weeks in advance
-
Support and training – we’ll help you prepare, practice, and feel confident
-
A welcoming, neurodivergent-friendly team – we practice what we preach
-
Skill development – build confidence in public speaking, facilitation, and advocacy
-
An opportunity to drive real-world change
Accessibility and inclusion
We know applying for something like this can feel daunting – especially if you're unsure whether your story is “enough.” We want to reassure you that there is no one right way to be neurodivergent, and we welcome diverse communication styles, backgrounds, and experiences.
If you need any adjustments at any stage, just let us know. We’re here to support you.
How It Works
