Empowering Neurodivergent Employees
Workshop Overview
Empowering your neurodivergent employees in the workplace.
Empowering Neurodivergent Employees is a 60-minute interactive workshop designed to give neurodivergent employees the self-knowledge, language and confidence to understand their own brain, articulate their needs and advocate for the support they’re entitled to – so they can stop masking and start thriving.

- What This Leads To
For neurodivergent employees, understanding your own brain isn't a given. Many have spent years masking, adapting and working around a system that wasn't designed for how they think - without ever having had the space to understand their own strengths, needs and rights at work.
This session creates that space.
- A deeper understanding of their own neurotype and how it shows up in their working life - strengths, challenges and everything in between
- The ability to recognise masking and its cost - and practical strategies to protect their energy and wellbeing at work
- A clear, practical understanding of reasonable adjustments - what they're entitled to, how to ask for them and what the process looks like
- The confidence to articulate their own needs clearly and advocate for themselves without feeling like a burden
- Tools for having honest conversations with managers about how they work best
- A stronger sense of identity, self-awareness and agency in how they navigate their working environment
Most workplace inclusion efforts focus on changing the environment around neurodivergent employees. This session focuses on the neurodivergent employee themselves - giving them the self-knowledge, the language and the confidence to advocate for what they need.
Without that foundation, neurodivergent employees often spend their careers guessing at what support is available, masking who they are to fit in and staying quiet about needs they don't feel equipped to articulate. The result is talented people working at a fraction of their capability because nobody ever gave them the tools to understand and advocate for themselves.
When neurodivergent employees have that foundation, they engage differently. They ask for what they need. They have clearer, more honest conversations with their managers. They stop spending energy masking and start spending it contributing. And they feel genuinely seen and supported rather than quietly managed around.
1 hour | Unlimited attendees | Virtual or in person | Reflective and practical
This session is for neurodivergent employees at any stage of their journey - whether they have a formal diagnosis, are self-identified or are simply starting to understand how their brain works and what that means for how they work best.
It works particularly well as part of a wider neuroinclusion programme, alongside manager training so that both sides of the relationship are equipped, and for organisations that want to move beyond top-down inclusion and give neurodivergent employees a genuine voice and agency in their own experience at work.
This session works best as part of a wider neuroinclusion strategy - one where managers are also being trained, reasonable adjustment processes are clear and the culture is moving in the right direction.
