Neurodiversity Foundations for Managers

Workshop Overview

The confident starting point for neuroinclusive management.

1 hour – Virtual – Up to 50 participants

Neurodiversity Foundations for Managers is a 60-minute interactive workshop, part of our Neuroinclusion for Managers Programme. It gives managers a clear, grounded understanding of what neurodiversity means in a management context, why it matters and what their responsibilities are – the shared foundation that makes everything that follows land with real impact.

  • What This Delivers
  • Why It Matters
  • How It Works
  • Who's It For
  • What This Leads Into

Every manager programme has to start somewhere. This session makes sure it starts in the right place - giving managers a clear, grounded understanding of what neurodiversity actually means in a management context and why it matters for how they lead.

  • A clear understanding of what neurodiversity is, what it isn't and why it matters for managers specifically
  • Awareness of how many people are neurodivergent and what that means for the teams managers are already leading
  • An introduction to the most common neurotypes and how they may show up in the workplace
  • A grounded understanding of manager responsibilities around neurodiversity - legal, cultural and practical
  • The shared language and baseline that makes every module that follows land with greater impact
  • Confidence to engage with neurodiversity as a normal, everyday part of good management rather than something separate or specialist

Managers can't lead neurodiverse teams well without understanding what neurodiversity actually means - not as a concept, but as a practical reality that affects the people they manage every day.

Without this foundation, everything that follows - conversations about adjustments, performance management, disclosure - happens without the context that makes it make sense. Managers engage with the process without understanding the people. They follow guidance without the mindset that makes it land properly.

This session fixes that. It's not a lengthy awareness programme. It's a focused, practical hour that gives managers exactly what they need to start - the understanding, the language and the sense of their own responsibility that makes every other module more effective.

1 hour | Up to 50 managers | Delivered virtually | Interactive and discussion-led | Part of the Neuroinclusion for Managers Programme

This session is for people managers and team leads who are new to structured neurodiversity training and want a serious, practical starting point.

It works particularly well as the opening module of the Neuroinclusion for Managers Programme, for management cohorts where a consistent baseline needs to be established before more practical training begins, and for organisations where managers have varying levels of existing awareness and a shared foundation needs to be created.

This session is the entry point to the Neuroinclusion for Managers Programme - a series of one-hour modules giving managers the practical tools to lead neurodiverse teams with clarity and confidence.

Interested in how this module or the full programme could work for your organisation? We'd love to talk.
