Neuroinclusive Management Conversations
Workshop Overview
The conversations that matter most, done with confidence.
1-hour – Virtual – Up to 20 participants
Neuroinclusive Management Conversations is a 60-minute interactive workshop, part of our Neuroinclusion for Managers Programme. It gives managers a practical framework for the conversations that matter most – the everyday ones that build trust and the high-stakes ones that too often are avoided or handled badly.
- What this delivers
- Why it matters
- How it works
- Who's it for
- What this leads to
The quality of a manager's conversations determines the quality of their relationships with their team. For neurodivergent employees especially, the difference between a manager who communicates well and one who doesn't isn't just a matter of style. It shapes whether they feel safe, supported and able to do their best work.
This session gives managers the language, structure and confidence to have better conversations across every management touchpoint.
- The ability to give feedback that is clear, direct and lands the way it was intended
- Confidence to run 1:1s that genuinely work for different thinking and communication styles
- A structured approach to appraisals that fairly reflects contribution rather than style or presentation
- The skills to respond to disclosure in a way that builds trust and opens the door to real support
- The ability to discuss concerns and challenges early, clearly and without it escalating unnecessarily
- Confidence to navigate probation conversations that are fair, honest and legally sound
- Practical language and frameworks that work across every management conversation, not just the difficult ones
Most managers aren't avoiding difficult conversations because they don't care. They're avoiding them because nobody has ever shown them how to have them well.
The result is feedback that's too vague to act on. 1:1s that feel like a formality rather than a genuine check in. Appraisals that reflect how someone communicates rather than what they actually contribute. Disclosure conversations that get handled with good intentions yet the wrong words. Concerns that go unaddressed until they become formal issues that could have been resolved much earlier.
For neurodivergent employees, poor management conversations don't just feel uncomfortable. They create real barriers to performance, wellbeing and trust.
When managers have the right tools, conversations that used to feel risky become straightforward. Feedback lands. 1:1s build genuine connection. Concerns get raised early and resolved properly. And neurodivergent employees feel managed fairly rather than managed around.
1 hour | Up to 20 managers | Virtual | Practical, scenario-based and discussion-led
This session is for people managers and team leads who want to communicate more effectively with every member of their team - not just in the difficult moments but in the everyday ones that shape how people experience being managed.
It works particularly well for managers who know their conversations could be clearer or more consistent, organisations where feedback and appraisal quality varies significantly across the management population, and HR teams looking to raise the standard of management conversations across the board.
This session is part of the Neuroinclusion for Managers Programme - a series of one-hour modules giving managers the practical tools to lead neurodiverse teams with clarity and confidence.
